Job description:

  • Applicants must have extensive experience in Data Protection Management and Privacy Compliance Management, as well as related fields such as Data Protection Auditing, Data Protection Certification and Data Protection Impact Assessment in teaching and applied research
  • The candidate should be able to teach courses both in German and English by using digital teaching formats (e-learning, blended learning etc.) at the University’s main Campus in Ansbach as well as at the University’s other branch offices if necessary
  • Participation in the development of the interdisciplinary bachelor's programme Data Protection and IT security and, if applicable, further study programmes
  • Further development of the subject area with special attention to digitalization Supervision of student research projects, bachelor, master and doctoral theses
  • Engagement in academic self-administration as well as interdisciplinary cooperation, preferably with a focus on Machine Learning / AI topics

Your profile:

  • A university degree
  • Outstanding professional and scientific qualifications and proven experience in the design and implementation of data protection & compliance management systems
  • Comprehensive cross-sectional knowledge of both the technical principles and organizational and legal frameworks of data protection
  • Pedagogic aptitude
  • Special aptitude for scientific work, which is usually proven by a doctorate
  • Outstanding achievements in the application or development of scientific findings and methods during at least five years of professional practice acquired after the completion of a university degree, and at least three years of which must have been pursued outside the higher education sector. Proof of professional practice outside the higher education sector may, in special cases, be demonstrated by the fact that over a period of at least five years, a substantial part of the professional activity was carried out in cooperation between the higher education institution and non- academic professional practice
  • Very good German and English skills as well as the ability and willingness to conduct courses in German and English
  • Motivation to impart your practical experience to our students through teaching and applied research
