Job description:

  • Applicants must have extensive experience in Digital Energy Management and Smart Grid as well as related topics such as Energetic Building Simulation and Energy Optimization of Buildings
  • Development of a new research and teaching area Digital Energy Management in the Technology and Study Centre Feuchtwangen of the Ansbach University of Applied Sciences
  • The candidate should be able to teach courses both in German and English by using digital teaching formats (e-learning, blended learning etc.) at the university’s branch office Feuchtwangen as well as at the university’s main campus in Ansbach, if necessary
  • Active participation in the development and expansion of the faculty’s innovative study programmes as well as participation in the basic engineering curriculum
  • Supervision of student research projects, bachelor, master and doctoral theses
  • Commitment to establishing and maintaining international partnerships
  • Undertaking research and development tasks
  • High presence at the Feuchtwangen Campus and engagement in academic self-governance as well as interdisciplinary collaboration

Your profile:

  • A university degree, preferably in engineering, e.g. electrical engineering, power engineering, energy and building services engineering or a related field
  • Pedagogic aptitude
  • Special aptitude for scientific work, which is usually proven by a doctorate
  • Outstanding achievements in the application or development of scientific findings and methods during at least five years of professional practice acquired after the completion of a university degree, and at least three years of which must have been pursued outside the higher education sector. Proof of professional practice outside the higher education sector may, in special cases, be demonstrated by the fact that over a period of at least five years, a substantial part of the professional activity was carried out in cooperation between the higher education institution and non- academic professional practice
  • Very good German and English skills as well as the ability and willingness to conduct courses in German and English
  • Motivation to impart your practical experience to our students through teaching and applied research
